Wild Venison Pepperoni & Mozzarella Cauli Pizza Recipe

A sneaky and delicious way to get your five a day, this take on the classic ‘Pepperoni Pizza’ has a cauliflower base and uses our Wild Venison Pepperoni. You could of course swap this in for a few torn up slices of Hartgrove Coppa ham or our Fennel & White Pepper Salami if spicy isn’t your thing.

Pepperoni & Cauliflower base pizza recipe

Serves 2

 Heat oven to 200c

 Ingredients

  • Medium sized cauliflower, removing as much stalk as possible

  • 1 egg beaten

  • 250 ml passata

  • 8 slices The Real Cure Wild Venison Pepperoni

  • Half mozzarella ball, finely sliced

  • Handful of rocket

Steps

  1. Blitz cauliflower to couscous texture in food processor

  2. Mix in egg to bind and season

  3. Spread onto lined baking sheet sprayed with oil to a thickness of approximately 1.5 cm.  Press down firmly

  4. Bake for 25 minutes until firm and golden

  5. Simmer passata in saucepan until thick – roughly one third of its original volume

  6. Spread tomato over base

  7. Add slices of mozzarella and pepperoni

  8. Return to oven for 20 minutes until topping is golden

  9. Scatter with rocket and serve
