Can I collect an order?
Orders can be collected free of charge from our HQ, The Real Cure, Hartgrove Farm, Dorset, SP7 0LA. Please choose the pickup option at the checkout. These can be collected the next working day, during our usual opening hours of Monday-Friday 9am-3pm. We are closed on public holidays.
How quickly can you deliver an order?
Orders placed before midday will be despatched that same day. Those after will be despatched the next working day. Occasionally, for instance at Christmas, we allow for a pre-order service. Our standard delivery service is a flexible 2-5 day service, our Express delivery is a 24 hour service.
Do you offer a subscription service?
We now offer a Monthly Subscription and 3 Month Subscription as a product option. It’s the gift that keeps giving, or means you have your charcuterie shopping for yourself sorted without having to think about it.
Can I purchase a gift voucher?
Yes, we offer a digital gift voucher which is a great present allowing flexibility for the recipient to choose exactly what they want. The digital gift voucher will be emailed to you upon receipt of checkout, which you can print or forward on to the lucky recipient. Vouchers are non-refundable.
If my delivery is delayed is it still ok to eat?
Yes, our products can be stored at ambient temperatures for months, only needing to be refrigerated once opened. They are perfectly happy stored in their postal packaging until delivered, even if delayed for a few days.
Are your products British?
We only use British meat in our products, ensuring our pork is free-range, beef is grass-fed and venison is wild. Everything is produced on site at our farm in Dorset and can be shipped across the British Isles.
Are your products gluten-free?
Yes, all our products are gluten free.
Do I need to cook your products before eating?
Our products are ready to eat, however also taste amazing cooked. Perfect for adding to dishes to add a boost of flavour.
Do you offer trade prices?
We supply wholesale to retail partners, pubs, restaurants, delis, farm shops and independent stores across the UK. Please get in touch by emailing hello@therealcure.co.uk if you’re interested in becoming a customer and we will happily discuss your requirements.
Do you cater for corporate events and large parties?
For larger groups we can quote for bespoke products to suit your needs and budget and can be on-hand to discuss your requirements and advise on quantifies.
Can I purchase a gift and it be sent to a different address?
Delivering to a different address is no problem at all, at the checkout you will be prompted to input the shipping address where you input the lucky recipients' details, following this you will be asked for payment details where you can input your address for billing purposes. When purchasing a gift, using another address, no invoice will be included within the box.
I’ve made a mistake on my order, what can I do?

Can I learn how to cure meat like The Real Cure?
Yes you can, we offer 1 day meat curing courses led by our founder and meat curing expert James Smart. Throughout the day you will be hands-on, making your own cured meats and learning about cures, fermentation, smoking and more. You will leave the day with lots of goodies to take home too. For more information visit our Charcuterie Courses page. If you need to change the date of your course we will endeavour to do so, however this is subject to availability.
What forms do your products come in?
Most of our range is available whole in the form of a portioned stick, and sliced in a couple of different packs sizes. With lots of combinations of the range put into platters as well. There is something to suite everyone's requirements, whether snacking on it, cooking with it, and everything in-between.
Can I build my own hamper?
We have curated a range of hampers, but yes, you can of course build your own also. A Build Your Own Hamper starts from £35 and offers the flexibility of adding between 5-9 products and can include a personalised gift message too.
Can I cook with your cured meats?
Cured meat is fantastic to cook with. Adding a nub or two to meals like stews and pasta sauces injects an effortless amount of flavour. Cooking our Coppa is a brilliant alternative to meats like bacon, and adding Chorizo or Nduja adds heat and umami.
Is there a minimum order value?
We don’t have a minimum order value; we have a range of packaging that’s suitable to send all manner of order sizes safely. We do have a delivery charge no matter the order value to contribute to costs of our 100% recyclable packaging and the delivery.
Can I add to my order once it has been placed?
Currently, you cannot add to your order once it is placed online but you can call us on 01747 859190 and we can add any items to your order. We do not retain your card details so you will need them on hand to pay for the additions.
Something I would like is out of stock, when will it be available again?
Our team always work hard to replenish stocks. Due to the nature of our range and the production and drying times, sometimes items are out of stock for a short period of time however we always endeavour to make them available to order as soon as possible. If you would like to know when something specific will be back in stock, ask one of our team by emailing hello@therealcure.co.uk or calling 01747 859190 and we can look at our schedules and let you know.
Where do you deliver?
We deliver to the whole of mainland UK, using Royal Mail or DHL as our courier.
What are your delivery charges?
Standard delivery is £3.95 and Next Day or Express delivery is £5.95.
Do I need to be home to sign for a delivery?
You do not need to be home to sign for your delivery. Many of our products can be packed into packaging that will fit through your letterbox, or if a large order or a hamper the parcel will be left somewhere safe if you are not home to receive it.
What should I do if my order hasn’t arrived?
If your box hasn’t arrived within the delivery service lead time you have opted for, Standard being 2-5 days and Next Day being 24hrs, contact our team by emailing hello@therealcure.co.uk or call 01747 859190 as soon as possible and we will follow this up for you.
How do I use my gift voucher?
You can apply your gift voucher at the checkout by entering your unique code into the discount code box at the checkout. All our gift vouchers are valid for 12 months.
How do I store my meat?
Our range comes with a minimum 3 month shelf life and can remain ambient until opened. It will be perfectly happy in a cupboard or can be stored in the fridge if you prefer. Once opened, store in the fridge and consume within 5 days.
Are your products nitrate free?
Our products are not nitrate free. We use a very small trace amount to ensure our products are fully cured, to protect against botulism and listeria.
CHRISTMAS FAQ’S
Can I order my Christmas cured meat now and have it delivered nearer to Christmas?
Yes, at the checkout simply choose the delivery day you would like your order to arrive on and we will do the rest. Select ‘Pre Order’ delivery option and the preferred delivery date should be added in the ‘Notes’ section at checkout. Please note we will aim to deliver as close to this date as possible but cannot always guarantee it will arrive on the exact date specified to due to courier limitations.
I’m short on space in my fridge, does my charcuterie need to be refrigerated?
No, none of the items from The Real Cure range need to be refrigerated until they are opened, so storing your festive cured meat (or hiding it from the lucky recipient) is simple.
I’d like to get organized and get my cured meat soon, how long will it last for?
Any meat ordered now will last way past Christmas and into the New Year, so if you want to order now and simply keep a hold of your order until Christmas day, you can.
Can I buy The Real Cure charcuterie as a gift?
Yes, any and all of our product range can be delivered directly to the lucky recipient of a gift. All letterboxes and hampers are gift wrapped are beautifully packed in our branded boxes and can include a personalised message. Simply enter the message at the checkout and we will do the rest. Please let us know if you do not with any branding to be visible on the outside of the box.
How much cured meat should I order?
Sometimes working out how much charcuterie you need to feed a crowd can be daunting. We have a range of platters, hampers and letterboxes which will detail how many people they will feed, however, we work from the basic rule of roughly 80g of charcuterie per person for a charcuterie board, a little less if there is cheese and nibbles alongside. If you are cooking with our products much is left to preference as to how much you need, all we would say is a little goes along way because our charcuterie Is packed with flavour. Do you offer a product specifically tailored for Christmas?
Yes, although our entire range could be enjoyed over the Festive period, we have put together two brand new products just for Christmas 2024. The Festive Charcuterie Letterbox and the Festive Charcuterie Hamper.
When is the latest date I can order?
We will be closing for orders on Sunday 22nd December, with our final delivery day being 24th December for mainland deliveries (final order for Highlands and Islands being taken on 18th December). Due to the long shelf life of the products though, we would recommend ordering and taking a delivery as early as you can, including the week before Christmas as we cannot guarantee stock availability.
When can I order again after Christmas?
We will be back on the farm producing and sending orders on Friday 27th December.
Which couriers do you use?
We use Royal Mail and DHL and provide tracking for all orders so you can keep an eye on the progess of your parcel.
