Wood Dust for straight forward and affordable cold smoking at home
From bacon and ham, to cheese and fish, the Pro Q Wood Dust is perfect for using in your Pro Q Smoke Generator to create an authentically smokey depth of flavour.
The Pro Q cold smoke generator contains an easy to use stainless steel maze smoke generator, bag of smoke dust and tea light. Simply fill your Pro Q Smoke Generator with the smoke dust, light one end with the tea light and allow the cold smoking process to take place inside the smoke chamber.
Flavour notes:
Apple - sweet, mild and fruity
Cherry - sweet and fruity
Beech - delicate, nutty
Each bag contains 200g of wood dust. 100g of dust provides 10hrs of cool, clean smoke.
It is essential meat or fish is cured prior to cold smoking - you can purchase our curing salts which contain full instructions on preparing your meat for cold smoking.
What to use as a smoke chamber?
Cold smoking really is very simple and many things lend themselves to being used as a smoke chamber. All you need is a little air flow in the bottom and somewhere for the smoke to escape.
